Approximately 20 Fellows.

No. Receiving a nomination from a U.S. Embassy or Consulate allows you to apply to AMMP, but nomination does not guarantee selection.
The selection process is competitive. Selection is based on professional experience, potential for impact, alignment with program goals, and the strength of your application.
Approximately 20 Fellows will be selected from the total applicant pool. While the program aims to include representation from each eligible country, final selection depends on the quality and competitiveness of individual applications.
Will all eligible countries be represented?
We aim to include participants from each eligible country.
What is the selection process? When will I be notified?
All applications will be reviewed by an AMMP Selection Committee made up of representatives from the U.S. Department of State and external music industry experts and professionals.

When and where does the AMMP program take place?
The in‑person residency is held in New York City, October 5–19, 2026, followed by eight months of virtual mentorship.

Fellows participate in mentorship sessions, workshops, site visits, cultural excursions, and networking events with U.S. music industry leaders.

How does Mentorship work?
Mentorship is central to AMMP. Each Fellow is carefully matched with a Recording Academy® Mentor based on their professional track, experience, and goals.
The mentorship begins with a virtual introductory meeting before the program. During the two-week residency in New York City (October 5–19, 2026), Fellows meet their Mentors in person for one-on-one sessions to identify priorities and areas for growth.
Following the residency, mentorship continues virtually for eight months through monthly meetings. Mentors provide strategic guidance, industry insight, and practical advice as Fellows apply new knowledge within their local music industry.
